This patient presented two attacks, vision problems and weakness of the legs, with objective clinical evidence for both.

The vision problems however were not typical for MS.

Using the McDonald criteria extreme care must be taken to keep asking the questions: "are these attacks characteristic for MS?" and "are there other possible diagnoses?".
