Note that in the 2005 McDonald Criteria, a positive CSF finding

- elevated IgG index or

- two or more oligoclonal bands

could be used to reduce the MRI requirements for reaching DIS criteria.

This is no longer the case in 2010. In 2010 a positive CSF can only add to the criteria for diagnosing PPMS.
